Jerry Fick, who has served in virtually every aspect of umpiring, training and supervision for over a half century, was awarded the USA Softball Award of Excellence at the USA Softball UIC Clinic.
Jerry has umpired both fast and slow pitch softball for USA Softball, OHSAA and college in addition to officiating football, baseball, basketball and volleyball. He has been managing officials organizations and leading initiatives to recruit, train and assign officials for over 47 years, instructing at numerous National Umpire Schools. He has instructed in Germany, Italy and the Netherlands Antilles.
Jerry was Cincinnati Metro’s UIC for 40 years and is currently the fast pitch UIC for USA Softball of Ohio. He has been the OHSAA’s Director of Development for Softball Officiating for the past eight years.
